I am waiting for surgery, have been on the list for 3 months now. I'd like to hear your story on how long it took for your surgery after the injury and what you did to help you with the pain after the surgery. Also, how long was it before you were able to move around easily again?

In Australia - if you do not have private health insurance (which can get you to see a private orthopaedic specialist and have your operation within 1-2 weeks) then you have to wait in the UK style public health queues. There are people who wait 6-12 months for ACL repair depending on how busy the clinic is.
