To some perhaps, although I doubt many people would commit suicide simply b/c they lost their faith in love at 1st sight.

Love at first sight is just nonsense. Anyone who believes in it obviously has a very superficial concept of love. Love at first sight is just lust, strong lust, but still lust. But I guess life seems warmer and more inviting if you can believe in fairy tales like love at first sight, unconditional love and an omnipotent creator. So perhaps the answer to your question is yes for some. I'm not one of them.

Not at all. But it sure is amusing when it does happen! (and it sure does happen!)

It doesn't make life worth living, but it can keep a marriage together, remembering that first moment.

I am a victim of love at first sight, and married him.

No, it does NOT make life worth living, but it's nice to look forward to if you're single. Hopefully! But what if you're already mated to another? What if your soulmate is already married or too young or way to old?

It's nice to maintain this belief but not always practical!

It can't. It is just an illusion that keeps you from realizing the truth about yourself and others.

Love and blessings Don
