Rahul Dravid would no longer be captain in 2011, not even Sourav and Tendulkar.
The team of 2007 is very steady.
Factors helping India -
The best indian team going for the World Cup after the 1983 Presidential Cup. India has found good openers in Ganguly and Uthappa, with Sehwag in there too. Yuvraj, Dravid, Dhoni and Tendulkar steady the middle order to form one of the best middle order batting. Lower middle order of Kumble, Harbhajan, Zaheer can hit a few runs too.
As on bowling - Zaheer and Sreesanth/Munaf Patel will be opening and are not as bad. Kumble, Harbhajan and Sachin - Sehwag can bowl many spin overs between them. That leaves one guy extra. He can be employed as a strike bowler - Irfan/Sreesanth or Dinesh Kaarthick as the 11th guy. Irfan can bat as well.
It is a very powerful batting line-up, and make take a beating on their bowling lineup.
Quality Fielders are in plenty - Yuvraj, Uthappa, Sachin, Kaarthick. Fielders like Munaf Patel will have to be hided on the field.
There are all winning chances for India. India will reach the semi-finals for sure.

It is very difficult to say as to who will win the world cup. Cricket is a very unpredicatable game and it just depends as to which team plays better on that particular day.
The world cup is absolutely open and the team which has the confidence to hold on to their nerves right till the end will definitely come out triumphs.
On present form, South Africa and Austalia seem to be the favourites. But then we know that South Africa have the habit of choking in the crucial games and Australia have lost 4 of their last 5 games. Moreover some of their key players are injured as well. So as I said earlier, the World Cup is absolutely open.
The team which shows the maximum hunger and plays consistently well will be the ultimate winner.

White at present South Africa are hot favourites to win the world cup, since cricket is a game of uncertainties, nothing can be predicted for sure about the winners of a tournament in advance.
The ultimate result will depend upon which country play to their potential consistently. Hence allthe top 8 teams stand a chance tto win the world cup.

Most comments are missing the vital ingredients that will determine who wins the WCC. It is not about the bowlers or the batsman...after all every team is arriving with what is supposed to be their nations best batsmen and bowlers. No it comes down to which side has the best keeper/batsman and the best All Rounder. It is the all Rounders who will determine/ influence and turn a game around. to that end look at those teams with a strong keeper and a good all rounder.
Narrows the fields down to two:
Australia (Gilchrist/ Symonds - will be playing) and South Africa

I think SOuth Africa will win this World Cup because they have just lost 1 of the last 11 ODI's. Also SA are currently on a high and the only serious competition will be Australia who have lost all of their last 5 ODI's

I think India win the 2007 world cup,
because all the players has made a lot of progress and
also ganguly has come in superb form.
And also the captaincy of dravid will also come useful.

I am gonna say 3 teams are gonna have a shot at the World Cup winning.
Australia - Who had won all the 4 World Cups back to back and there is no stopping for them because of their powerful Allround performances and everything.
South Africa - Who defeated Australia in their home soil and they are very confident about their form and looking very killing type of Team
India - They went to finals last year and this year they are also in form we gotta see who wins
May the best team wins these year Trophy.

INDIA may win- reasons
1. "Kiron More", the worthless Chairman of Selection Committee has been removed.
2. Dilip Vengsarkar, one of the Greatest cricketer of our time, has been selected as Chairman of selection Committee.
3. Super come-back of "Great" Sourav Ganguly.
4. Zaheer Khan & Anil Kumble has been included in the final 15.
5. Return of "fit" Yuvaraj.
6. Selection of Sachin as "Vice-Captain". He along with Ganguly will be able to direct the "Team India" in right direction.
7. Grieg Chappel has been restricted. BCCI has ordered him to stop the "idiotic" experiments & give full respect to your players.
