i've read alot of reviews about equus and i'm not understanding it. Does the main character Alan actually do anything with the horses or do they just "turn him on". And why? What happened to make him like horses so much!

first, you should read the play. but to answer the question, he doesnt have sex pers e with the horses, but there is a scene in which he achieves orgasm through a ritual which involves him riding a horse names Nugget. How he got that wy IS the plot of the show. It's his psychoanalysis.

no, he just likes horses very much, and then has sex with a girl in the stables, sees it as such a sin that he blinds six of them
