Do you earn money during beauty school?

Like when you work on clients, do they give you little tips or is that not allowed? I'm just wondering how some people do it. If they pay for their own education, seems like you are at class too much to have a job somewhere else at the same time.

Anyone going to answer?

A friend of mine attended a barber college years ago, & tipping was encouraged. Being personable & doing a good job could bring you some decent tips while you refine your skills.
