Ovulation is when your ovary releases an egg into your fallopian tubes. This is the most fertile time for a woman (best time to get pregnant). Most women ovulate around day 14 of their 28 day cycle, but that is only the average. When you ovulate you may notice a slight pain on the side of your body that is releasing the egg (your ovaries usually alternate each month). And you may also notice a thin white discharge.

Ovulation is when a woman's ovary releases that amazing cell- the egg (sometimes 2 eggs). If I remember right, it happens during or near the end of PMS, which is a side effect of the hormones that ripen the egg....

Anyway, the hormones start flowing, with the side effect of PMS, ovulation happens, the egg travels downone of the Fallopian tubes, and if it doesn't get fertilized, the egg dies and the uterine lining dies and leaves the body... and about 2-3 weeks later, the cycle starts over with a couple days of PMS and a week of menstruation.

If the egg is fertilized while in the Fallopian tube, it starts to grow and will implant in the lining of the uterus... which begins a whole new problem. Sometimes called the 9-month flu... my mom calls it Egyptian flu, because when you're done, you're a "mummy".... (bad pun, I know.. sorry!)

Ah, the joys of being a woman...

When an egg matures each month in the ovary and then is released into the fallopian tubes. It is during this time that the egg must be fertizlied (1-2 days). However, since sperm can stay alive for upto a week, it is possible to get pregnant if you have sex anywhere from about week before up until ovulation.

Are you serious?? You must be pretty young.

Ovulation is the releasing of the egg from a female's ovary. In humans, it occurs once every 28 days (monthly). When the egg is released, it travels down the fallopian tube, into the uterus, where is can be fertilized and become a baby. It happens approximately 14 days after the end of your last period.

Ovulation occurs in mid cycle generally. Your era is the tip of your cycle. In some very uncommon situations you could ovulate previous due on your cycle and can conceive mutually as having your era, yet this as I say is amazingly unusual.
