11x = 2

x = 2/11

8-3x(-2)=15-5(x+1) distribute -3x & -5
8+6x=15-5x-5 add 5x to each side
8+11x=15-5=10 subtract 8 from each side
11x=2 divide both sides by 11
x=2/11
