I want to send a friend some inexpesive jewelry, and want to send it in a small box because I'm afraid it might get broken in a padded envelope. (It's glass). The box I would like to send it in is about 1.5" high, and probably 3" long/wide. I'm wondering if it's too small to send through the regular mail.

Go to USPS on the Internet and do a search on size. It will tell you that at least one dimension must be at least 3 inches. Measure your package to be sure.
