OMG... some of you people.. please READ co2 is not a bad gas.. and the number 1 green house gas is water vapor... it beats CO2 by alot..

you can do alot of reading to find out... basically it is global climate change.. everyone is talking about.. BUT.... we live on earth.. which is not a static place.. ( static = always the same ) the earth has been in 100s if not 1000s of ice-ages... it has lost all the air on its surface at least 7 to 9 times.. at one time oxygen was a poison gas that planets put in the CO2 air around the earth... other times... we had no ice caps... the earth WILL NO mater what change.. it will grow older.. it will get older.. it will get hotter.. and yes one day.. it will DIE again.. and then be re-born.. there is nothing you can do to stop it or save it... over 186 BILLION tons of CO2 are dumped into the air every year... WE humans on do 6 Billion Tons... volcans dumb near 90 billion tons a year.. green dead stuff dumps another 90 billion + a year... so in short.. removed humans from earth 180 BILLION tons would still be dumped in the air every year.. also let me ask you this.. if a farmer wants to make his crops bigger / healther what is the 1 thing he can add to do this??? give up... its CO2... WOW. OMG...
what are people made of... CO2 or carbon .. WOW.. OMG,.

I have some land to sell some of you in arizona... i only want 500 us dollars for it...

Radiation from the sun heats the earth. It passes through the atmosphere to keep us warm. Normally it then bounces off the earth's surface and back into space. However, greenhouse gases (carbon monoxide and several others) rises up and deflects the leaving radiation back onto the earth. Thus, the earth doesn't get rid of as much of its heat as it should.

global warming actually refers to the overall increase in the planet's temperature due mostly to the greenhouse effect (what I mentioned above). However, some actually dispute the validity of global warming. One professor I had claimed that there was no way for us to know if this was a natural process the earth goes through every so often.

Global warming is the result of green house gas (such as co2) build up in our atmosphere. These gasses make our atmosphere thicker. They work just like the glass on a green house. The glass intensifies the suns rays as they enter the greenhouse much like a magnifying glass can start a fire with sunlight. This causes it to be much hotter in the green house. The thicker the glass the hotter the green house. Greenhouse gasses build in our atmosphere the more that is released the denser the atmosphere gets thus the hotter the planet becomes.

Global warming is the affect that us humans have on the atmosphere by releasing a lot of carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide creates a clear layer for the sun's rays to enter but, the cannot escape, therefor heating our planet(otherwise known as the greenhouse affect). Global warming has nothing to do with the hole in the ozone layer.

Due to environmental reports, it is the increased warmth on earth created by a combination of ever-more deforestation and asphalt/concrete constructions which hold heat more than the natural forests and dirt-lands did.
This has a result that the ice caps at the poles begin to melt and dump a bunch of fresh water into the oceans.
Following this, the oceans' salt content decreases because of the mix with fresh water, and therefore the climate-tempering from the oceans becomes defunct.
As a result of that, normally 'temperate' climates near the sea shores become increasingly 'non-temperate'.
As a result, harsher storms and precipitation results.
While the temperatures inland may increase gradually over decades or centuries, the ocean-balanced sea shore climates become harsher.
Storms then begin to wander inland as well, influencing agriculture and resulting in a shortage of food production as well as unpredictable severe weather.
As less plants survive their normal life cycle, the earth loses additional protection and moisture balance.
Once this process has truly begun, it should result in the annihilation of current world population (human, plant and animal) fairly quickly.
Some scientists call this a nonsensical scenario, others are adamant about the impending danger.
Already, large ice blocks have broken off antarctica.
If this danger IS real, the only way to slow it down or even halt it would be to stop cutting down and burning rain forests, robbing the earth of its natural flora, and severely curbing the building of roads and large cement structures as well as stopping the production of gases which shoot holes into the ozone layer.
In other words, industrialization would have to halt and/or reverse.
Since this goes contrary to the profit motive of people in political and financial power, it is unlikely to happen.
I've read somewhere that dinosaurs actually 'ate' themselves out of existence - in other words, they voraciously fed until there was nothing left for them to eat and so they died out. Not sure how scientific this is, but wouldn't it be a nice analogy for what humans are doing today?
Greedily using mother earth's resources until they've finally killed her natural balance and she is unable to provide us with a living space...

Global warming is the phenomenon,in which the heat-trapping gases(CO2 or MgO) exceed their limits. This way, the heat brought to the Earth through rays and light from the Sun get "trap" or be kept in the Earth atmosphere, making it hotter and hotter and leads to many natural disasters.

Global Warming is the fact that average temperatures of the planet are rising. This is happening due to increased carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.

Higher temperatures are leading to a number of effects, not all of which are well understood.
