You are absolutely right. Look at the recent failed legislation that attempted to require all grassroots organizations (conservative talk radio) to register with the Congress before they are allowed to discuss political issues. Look at the "fairness doctrine" that is trying to be revived. Liberals are scared to death of the other side of the story being told. They know that they have absolutely no credibility and strength ideologically...look at how many times John Kerry and Hillary Clinton have flip-flopped on every imaginable issue. Their strength comes from the ignorance of the public. When the public becomes informed, the Democrats become invariably weaker. The only way to maintain their strength is to make sure the public is not informed at all, or is misinformed as much as possible.
As the other answers that have been given have illustrated, the liberals believe that they are the mainstream and they are the middle. Do the majority of Americans really believe that the United States is evil and oppressive to the rest of the world? Do the majority of Americans really believe that the United States has no right to defend itself with force? Why do you suppose liberals always refuse to call themselves liberals? Being liberal means standing on your head and telling the world that they are upside down.

Fox news-predictably conservative. Boring. What's there to be afraid of? What other side? They just repeat what Republican politicians say. Except that's all they report- what Republicans are saying.
I keep searching for the liberal media, but I can't find it. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, etc repeat what some of the Republicans say, or repeat what some of the Democrats say, but not enough to really inform anyone. It's just sound bites. Is that what liberal is-quoting people from both parties?
I haven't found a TV channel that only quotes Democrats or liberals. This country is too conservative to have a channel like that.

While I usually respect people's questions and answers, this is just non-sense. Fox News has always been known to be biased, and those that watch O'RIELLY of course he is going to say other media outlets are biased, he's paid to say those things.
I cannot believe how many brainless, uneducated, losers their are in the media and those that watch it, I mean why why why would you want your favorite news channel to be biased in anyway? This doesn't help you one bit, nor does it help this country, this is not a game. Well, I guess until we get some brainfilled educated winners reporting the news based of facts and the truth and what's best for the country and not what's best for the party we will continue to spiral down as a country.
A lot of people in this country are really pathetic, and Unfortunately your kids and grandkids are going to pay the price. Very Sad, Wise up people and Wake up America!!

I watched Fox for the 1st time the different day (I watched it on a chum's satellite tv for pc television) and that i became into taken aback to work out the outright and blatant top-wing bias in it. the point of reporting approximately information in Iraq exceedingly - in case you only watched Fox you will anticipate that each little thing became into going swimmingly, that there became into no civil conflict and all people enjoyed the U. S. forces. that is incredibly not the case. i've got considering the fact that found out that it became into the project of an study by ability of the self sustaining television value (uk's television watchdog) for alleged bias - that is stressful to get the ITC to look into something, so for them to even check out it it had to be particularly undesirable. i've got no longer watched Rush Limbaugh, yet from what I hear from sturdy sources, he's barely somewhat much less rabidly top-wing than Hitler. You communicate approximately getting each and all of the assistance - nicely you're actually not getting it and could no longer get it on Fox. attempt going to somebody like the BBC. you in all probability won't like what you're listening to i.e. the reality incredibly than some sunny top-wing propaganda, yet a minimum of you would be getting each and all of the assistance incredibly than a selective biased version of it.

I don't think that liberals are "afraid" of Fox news. Speaking as a liberal, I find it frustrating that people claim to be annoyed with bias in reporting, and then turn to Fox News instead. Fox News is far more biased to the right than any of the other outlets would ever dream of being to the left.
So really it's not bias that you or other right wingers have a problem with. You love bias so long as it's to the right.
The irony is that the so-called liberal media is FAR more down the middle in their reporting than Fox News.

hahahahaahahah when Fox News is REALLY fair and objective and not a mouthpiece for the GOP , then Liberals will believe what it says.
I think personally it's many Conservatives who don't want to see the big picture or hear the other side and not vice versa.
That's too funny, anyone with any brains doesn't even consider Fox news a legitimate news outlet LOL.

They are also throwing a hissy fit about the internet and talk radio. How can they effectively control the sheeple if someone is out there successfully giving another point of view that disagrees with their own propaganda? Fox is proving a magnet for viewers and listeners who are sick of the BS being promulgated by the liberal media propaganda mills.

Afraid? Hardly.
You watch Fox News because it caters to your views. The rest of us want to watch *unbiased news* if there is such a thing anymore.
Watching Republicans interview other Republicans about Republican issues is not my idea of news.
Stick your head deep down in that hole and keep it there.

I personally like fox news channel. They seem to give the whole news regardless of whether it makes the democrats look bad or the republicans look bad. NBC news channels just seem so focused on making republicans look bad. I like getting the whole story.
