There will probably be scars although they will fade considerably with time.
There are creams available such as Medera but she can't use them until she is fully healed.
After healing fully, have her see a plastic surgeon.
Good luck

any cut can leave a scar.
A good plastic surgeon can minimize the visibiity of the scars, but it is just impossible to guarantee that they will be unnoticeable.
Use of a cream such as Neosporin to keep the skin softer and prevent infection aids in minimizing scarring.
Any of the so-called scar-reducing creams after appx 3 weeks is pretty much "snake-oil". The scaring will naturally reduce in visibility over the first year to 2 years if you use such creams or not. So... people who buy and use them within the first year are always happy with the result because the scars will always look better a year later...
The first 5 days are the most important in minimizing the scar.
If the scars are excessive, SOMETIMES, a cosmetic surgeon can reduce them. Its not always successful. Sometimes you end up with a worse scar. There is no way to guarantee results.

Tell her sticthes might leave a little mark, but it will be a lot less noticeable that if she had not had the stitches, tell her to apply neosporin on the wounds several times a day... 4-5 and do it until they are completely healed, this will help her scarring A TON!! Sometimes you cant even notice any mark at all when you do this.

I think its all down to luck. A friend of mine, an Asian guy took a bad cut in the centre of his forehead some time ago leaving him with an inverted V wound that due to his skin colouring showed up like a brand new sixpence on a sweeps arze. Now some four years later there is no sign of a scar or discolouration, Lucky Kurban

Cocoa butter lotion works excellently. Especially Palmer's brand. My grandma had surgery on her hand and it left a huge, raised scar. She's putting it on for about a week and the scar is smoother and less visible. And I use it on my neck where I have a scar. It worked there, too.

it differs from person to person. When I was 6, I fell off my swimming pool diving board and got 24 stiches. I only have 2 scars the other 4 scars healed.
