Oshihana, what is your ethnicity? You would be offended if someone said something about you that would probably be true about one or more of your family members. And you would try to justify it, and prove how you're just so different and that it may be true about others but not you. So, you've answered your own question, take responsibility for the way you think of others. It's your own fault that you have prejudices.
P.S. What's this about? Your posts in other questions about blacks are really ignorant and that's why you've posted this question.
Someone asked a question about why they should be proud of being black.
Oshihana's Answer:
No I can't. There is almost nothing good about being black. You are treated badly, considered less attractive than whites, will never have the same respect as whites. Most of blacks are ghetto and speak ebonics. I am embarrassed at the blacks. I hate admitting that I have it in my blood. It sucks.
Oh yeah, bigger muscles, sex drive, and penis. The penis is actually a big reason I want to date black guys.
Someone asked an ignorant question about gangs walking through white neighborhoods.
Oshihana's Answer:
Well, the reason why they usually come walking through is to cause trouble. I remember seeing a bunch of black kids running around my boyfriend's white neighborhood and they were kicking and knocking people's trash cans down. What other reason does a group of black people have walking down a neighborhood they don't belong to?
My answer to Oshihana - You yourself should be proud of who you are and you're not. You're insecure, racist and judgmental of others. Why would you have anything to be proud of?

"Race" is a phenomenon located in a specific geographical place and a specific historical time. There was no such thing as "hispanic", for example, until the US census began to count non-AmeriEuorpean, non-black colored people in the 1940s. The label was non-existent, hence the "Hispanic" culture was non-existent too. Think about it....
However, once this label became an accepted term used to describe a certain population, a group of people actually began to identify themselves with this label. The characteristics particular to members of this group then BECAME "hispanic" characteristics once people began to adopt the label (these characteristics of course have been different over time; compare the "hispanics" of the 1940s to those in the 2000s, for example) But the characteristics were NOT "hispanic" until the invention of the term. Think about it...
So these characteristics begin to take on a certain power once a label is designated to describe them. From here, the creation of stereotype and culture snowball on each other, each affecting the other. People have a verbal and written image (the word "hispanic") to hone in on when thinking of a certain group of people... the characteristics people have which are defined in the label are important to people BECAUSE they "represent" the definition... Since these are emphasized, the next generation will incorporate them as part of THEIR identity either by accepting them or rebelling against them... in this way affecting the creation of the next generation's identity. This is how a group of people begin to think of themselves as "Hispanic" with a "hispanic culture". The accepted "culture characteristics", now, inform the stereotype of "hispanic culture".
The stereotype gets validity because it is a generalization of "hispanic culture". The culture's characterisitcs are "validated" if they reflect the stereotype. And so on and so on...
Its no accident that the "culture" of a race reflects the stereotype of it. Culture and stereotype go hand in hand because the creation of each is dependent on the other.
The reason people dont like "stereotypes" is because they are usually intended and usually perceived to be negative. They also limit the perceptions of the people who hold them. (Both inside AND outside of a given "culture") Think about it...

You are so misinformed. Why are most meth labs owned by whites? Why are most dealers of E white? This is a stupid assumption. You have no clear facts, you just have an ignorant prejudice that you want other racists to confirm. I don't know any Hispanics that have crowded cars and I know a lot of Hispanics. Maybe you see the same few people doing this constantly and you are counting them as seperate people...And drug dealing and crowded cars aren't parts of anyone's culture.

First of all, your statements commit a fallacy in logic called hasty generalization. You have not researched enough or studied enough blacks to make an assumption that the MAJORITY of blacks are DRUG DEALERS - that's just an untrue statement. Your statement about Hispanic men is also untrue. And Ebonics is no more important than any other slang - be it surfer, goth, southern, etc.
I think you are biased and misinformed. Instead of spewing stereotypes that someone can immediately refute, how about pondering deeper issues.

Why does someones actions always have to be based on race?
Iv seen some white guys in low rider trucks, I know some drug dealers of all races. Why do I have to be expected to speak ebonics, when I know for myself that I don't? Peoples behavior are not based on race, its based on environment and the indivisual. All or your statments are based on specualation.

Because they're based on observations of certain groups...but they're usually based on the negative aspects...as you even pointed out. Did you know that the majority of blacks are also very religious and believe in doing good over evil?
Since you're so up on illegal drug trade, do you know that most of the drugs come into this country are not brought in by blacks? No, you're not interested in that, are you?
If I were as ignorant as you, I'd never post anything on a public forum. You're just letting the entire free world know how brainless you are. That's not a stereotype...That's the TRUTH!!!

Key Word: USUALLY. Take it easy on her people, it's true.
Good question by the way about race/culture. I personally don't know the difference.
May I add that I'm a beaner and I do eat a lot of beans, lol. But NO, I don't have any kids, so I don't fit into that particular stereotype.

I'm sure there's just as many white drug dealers as black, I think just as many other races drive in crowded cars- it's called car pooling- it's good for the environment!!
Why didn't you say that white girls are all trailer trash
that Canadians all eat blubber.
I've heard it all.....
I love being a white canadian girl...

Stereotypes do exist for a reason, but to say that a "majority" fit into the stereotype is a little over the top.
