I'm an 18 year old male and the foreskin on my penis doesn't retract at all when it is erect or flaccid. It stay tightly closed, and it is extremely painful. I fear it will not go away. Does anyone know of any treatment options besides curcumsicion or a dorsal slit? At this point, I'm up for anything.

This is a complicated question, and I don't want to write reams, so I'll refer you to the excellent information at http://www.cirp.org/library/treatment/phimosis/

Many doctors will suggest circumcision, as it is profitable and easy for them. But it's not their penis which will be permanently mutilated! Insist on a second (and even third) opinion if your doctor turns out to be an advocate of chopping. As the article above explains, there are many less-destructive alternatives.

Good luck to you!

Hold the doctor off on cutting you at all. Try the stretches in the links below and you should have good results. Doctors often are trained only to cut the skin rather than treat the condition. Ask the doctor for steroid cream that will relax the dartos muscle and help with the retraction of your foreskin. There are many options to try first, and circumcision or cutting should not be on the list. Try a different doctor who will work with your in keeping your foreskin intact. Your foreskin is part of your body. It is the most nerve rich part of you and your doctor is suggesting cutting it off. Do not let it happen. Try these stretches and you should see results in about two weeks, and full retraction within 3-4 months. Once retraction takes place, you are set for life. Good luck and if you have more questions, please write.

So,you know the answer but u don,t like to have your penis cut,the only way beside surgery is a gradual dilatation using softening cream and cleaning out the dirties which accumulate under the skin

Mine used to be tight. All I did was stretch it out gradually each time I showered for a few weeks and now it's perfect. Mine wasn't too tight, though. You may be able to get a steroid cream to loosen it up from a doctor (not many doctors know about it, though, but its success rate is about 90% which is very good).
