That monogamy is the *NORMAL* sexual state of the human animal.
There are just as many animals in nature that are in various types of non-monogamous relationships as there are those that exist in fully monogamous relationships. Like lions, wolves, bonobos, bottlenose dolphins, swans, horses, elephants, seahorses and the Australian magpie goose to name just a few.
Given the high number of relationships that fail (some quite violently) due to cheating I honestly think that monogamy is just another social more that has been forced on people in general in an attempt to maintain a level of control through social pressures and guilt. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure for *some* people monogamy is natural and right, I just find it intellectually interesting (and perhaps a bit offensive) that the vocal minority has, as usual, spent a good length of human history forcing the silent majority into various levels of unhappiness and stress.
