How to make a cool costume for tomorrow's carnival?

Tomorrow there will be some kind of carnival and we all have to have costumes. Here, there is no costumes shops so i have to make it at home. I want something that looks good, not to flashy and not ridiculous-looking....something simple....PLEASE HELP
