the book was cold night warm stranger by jill gregory. alot of you probably think books like this are stupid and have no substance. i find them to be a great escape. i think too much at work the way it is. i love to come home from work get everything done and dive into a romantic story about a cowboy or a civil war soldier. i recomnend this book to anyone who likes romance books. ive got a whole list of good books if anyone is interested.

Yes I have felt that way after I have read a great book. That is how you can tell a good book from a just alright book. If you feel down now go and get you another book and start reading. I would rather read a good book than watch a tv program, You can read on your time, and no commercials. Reading is great too bad it is becoming a lost art taken place by tivo, video games etc. Read on book worm

I get sad when I finish a book or a series that I really like. It takes a very good writer to create characters that feel like you know them personally. If you get attached to the characters, it is kind of sad when you can't read about them anymore. Sometimes I actually put off finishing the last book in a series or the last few chapters of a long book because I don't want to be done with it. The good thing is, you can always read a book again! I often go back to books I love and reread the parts I liked best.

It's easy to get wrapped up into the lives of the characters of a book. That's usually the goal of the author. When I was young I spent most of free time reading novels & getting swept away into the lives of the people in these stories. It was my escape from reality when I was upset or sad & I still find myself doing the same. Nothing silly about it, dear. Your a true booklover.

I have felt that way before also....sad that the book was over. And it would be on my mind for a while also...the characters and how it was written. I first felt like this in 5th grade! I can remember, it was summer vacation....I read the book in a day or so, because it was so interesting.

It must have been a brilliant author. I've felt that way before, and it's wonderful yet kinda sad. I wish I could be that good of a writer.
So what was the book's title and who wrote it? If you think it's that good then I want to read it. :)

If you're silly then I'm silly too. I feel like this all the time when I finish a good book. Even if it lasts only for a moment, the feeling is there.

Yes!!! When you get into it and then it ends and you just are like it can't end I want to know what's going to happend next. I hate that but it's sad that the books have to end.

No, you are not being silly.
You felt the characters (and story) in the book.
