I think It would be a world of blind people as we watch the TV really close and don't have to get up to change the channel.

Because I am an old man I can remember a time when there were no remote controls for the T.V. Any adjustment to the set i.e. changing the channel, the sound volume or even the brightness meant getting up from the couch and reaching for the controls on the T.V.

This was a time before "couch potatoes". You could have stumbled on a cure for one of the big problems of the age.

Did you know the guy who invented the tv remote just died?

Yea, we MIGHT be a bit thinner, but we would have to watch more commercials for junk food, and tv would not have to be as entertaining, because there would be less threat that people would change the channel.

I was around when there were no remotes, you whippersnappers!

That's fine, just as long as it's not a world without DVD remotes. Otherwise, how am I gonna get the special features to work when I watch movies?

Pretty funny. I remember the world BEFORE remotes. You actually had to get up off your rear end to change the channel.
