There is an old saying: “there is a fine line between love and hate.” Sometimes, the line can be so faint, so fine, so barely there that the line blurs and you can no longer tell where the boundary is. Love and hate are both very strong, passionate feelings. They come from the same place within the mind and heart, and they both come from our passion. I think the bottom line is that anyone who has the ability to make you have feelings that strong, either love or hate, is obviously someone who has had a great impact on your life in some manner, probably to the point that you have “feelings” for them, regardless of whether those feelings are good or bad. People you love can hurt you so much and so often, it kills something inside of you…..It stirs such a great, unimaginable rage within you, and you begin to hate them for that…..hate them for making you hate them. But you still love the person so much for all the same reasons you loved them for in the beginning…..It is simply the evolution of your feelings. I think the one difference is as follows: love never stays in one plane; it always grows. Hate, however, knows only one plane.

Yes, Remember all those women ridiculing Grassy? It was really that they loved Grassy and wanted him. Some women and men use transferred aggression in the place of their emotional love. Little boys pulled girls pigtails when they really liked them. Sometimes love is not visible as love but as something else. There is a fine line between love and hate as both include strong emotions and its the emotions that are the key and rule the day.

The opposite of love is NOT hate. It is INDIFFERENCE.
Both love and hate indicate very strong involvement. Love is positive emotion or caring, hate is negative emotion or caring.
Indifference is the opposite: a lack o interest, emotion or caring.
So the answer to your question is Yes.
