I am a stay at home mom, and do daycare for my income. I am considering buying a hot dog cart, and selling on weekends only (special events) Has anyone done this? Is it worth my time, and investing? Is there money to be made? PLease let me know the good and bads? THanks, Tracie

If there is a place you can take a cart it could work. The carts aren't cheap and you may have to check with zoning to see if it's allowed in your town. You might need permits too which can cost some money. Check into everything before you purchase a cart though.

A friend of mine did this, it is how he promoted his business. However he brought out his cart just before the lunch rush and stationed his cart on a busy intersection near a court house, one block away from a fire department and two different law enforcement buildings, he has done very well for himself. itis more time consuming than you think. I was doing 80 hours a week and maybe a 5.00 profit. no not 500.00
