good question carmelo anthony is the top leading scorer in the nba averging 31.1 points every game, iverson has that competitive edge which he can turn to a monster and play his *** off. and we cant forget about jr.smith he can shoot,penetrate, and drible so yeah they already are contenders you will see them in the playoffs.

I think they certainly could. 2 players with the scoring ability of Iverson and Anthony are enough to make a team good by themselves, but together? That's one heck of an offensive punch.
What they need to do is make sure they get one solid, lockdown defender. Everyone championship contender has one, and they have many players who could step up and provide that.
But with Iverson and Anthony there, they will ALWAYS be in the hunt.
