How doyou handle situations with controlling people or a friend who is always giving his opinion on it all even when you do not ask for it.

Well, an ex that has always been that way.

They feel they are right on most things and like to argue until you get to the truth of things; if you prove to them they are right they will change their view the thing is that sometimes you really think you are right; you prove it to them and still is no; you are not right so if you wanted to continue talking to them and not getting their emotions hurt as they get sometimes how do you handle it.

They forget many things too fast but others not at all; they are whimsical and have emotions but at times are cruel to you and treat you like you should not have amotions.

But if they are wrong; they apologize and try to change.

Noble but harsh at the same time.

he says he will not pretend he is polite; sure.

I usually back away from these insecure people. The "friendship" isn't worth the hassle.

I have found through personal experience, that trying to reason with a controlling person, is next to impossible, because in their eyes, they're always right. They are the first ones to give their opinions & God forbid if you want to air your opinions, because you won't be right, in their eyes. If I get into a discussion about something, & he swears he's right, & I know without a doubt that he's wrong, I end the conversation. That speaks volumes when any further comments he make, falls on deaf ears. I refuse to argue with a controlling person. Most controlling people are arrogant & love to always be right.

We do well to control ourselves let alone others. I wouldn't bother to argue. Just agree and move on. Know-it-alls are very boring. Stick with people you can respect. Raise your standards. Only fools argue.

sounds like he made the rules
he doesn't have to be polite so you
should be able to treat him in like manner
but come off more tactifully than he does
When he gets too obnoxious tell him
you believe whatever you want to believe
and you don't see any need to further discuss it.
