A hallucination is a sensory perception experienced in the absence of an external stimulus, as distinct from an illusion, which is a misperception of an external stimulus. Hallucinations may occur in any sensory modality - visual, auditory, olfactory, gustatory, tactile, or proprioceptive (sense of balance and position in space).
If no one else can see what it is you see then it is simply occuring in your own head.

Of course it exists. The only way to tell if something truly exists is to experience it yourself, otherwise there is always room for doubt. How can you be sure that the other people didn't see it? You would have to take their word and trust in that, and would you trust someone else's word over your own sight?
What constitutes existing? I have never seen Jesus. Does he exist? You haven't seen the hair on my butt, does that mean it doesn't exist? Trusting what you see everyday as existing is a leap of faith, you never know when your eyes could fail you. My eyes failed me last night and I almost got into an accident because I didn't see another car coming, does that mean it didn't exist for that split second?
If you see something and believe you see it, than it exists to you. Your thoughts are the only thing that makes up your world. You choose to believe what you want, and choose to ignore that that you don't. Free will is a wonderful idea.

Now, it depends on the scenario. Indians used potions to "Visit the Spirit World." Meaning a more deep understanding of the things in life we may not understand. (Even we do not fully understand the mystic powers this earth holds naturally.) But the flipside is, say "Doing Acid with your buddies at a party" and your like, "Dude, I got goldfish in my drink." That is just hallucination for entertainment. (The intent differs from the one above, where your looking for a high instead of a knowledge or understanding, so to speak.)

We are making it all up as we go.
In a way its all a hallucination.
This is all easily understandable if one considers the actual scale of the components of an atom. If one takes into account the fact that the neutrons, protons and electrons of an atom actually have huge spaces between them it becomes clear that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are made up of 99+ percent empty space.
This alone does not seem too important till you add the idea that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are more of a loose conglomeration that share a similar attraction but never really touch each other.
At first glance this does not really seem relevant, but closer analysis reveals that this adds a tremendous amount of empty space to solid objects that are already made up of atoms that are 99 percent space. When so-called solid objects are seen in this light it becomes apparent that they can in no way be the seemingly solid objects they appear to be.
We ourselves are not exceptions to this phenomenon.
These seemingly solid objects are more like ghostly images that we interpret as solid objects based on our perceptual conclusions.
From this we must conclude that Perception is some sort of a trick that helps us to take these ghostly images and turn them into a world we can associate and interact with. This clever device seems to be a creation of our intellect that enables us to interact with each other in what appears to be a three dimensional reality.
I hope that answered your question.
Love and blessings Don

If you saw it that means it does exist! At least to you and thats good enough as far as existing goes. It certainly does not mean no one else can see it. That just means the people around you can't(or won't). Everything you expereance it strickly relative to you. Just because you and another agree its blue doesnt mean his blue looks like yours. It might look like your red to him and there is no way to tell. Therefore everthing you experience is relative and personal only to you. So sometimes where they see nothing you see something.

Investigate it. If no one else can see it and it is real to you, you may have a serious psychological issue that will/may cause problems for you that can be detrimental to your life and the lives of people you love and are around. Medical sciences have the ability to make the situation better. Don't feel abnormal because it happens to more people than you think.

depending on the source of the hallucination, it either exists only in ur mind, or perhaps u are seeing an energy pattern ur brain is not normally conditioned to recognize and thus explaining it the only way it knows how. in that case it does exist.

I think that means you are the only one that can see it, as long as you are not on mind altering drugs, you probably have a six sence don't fight it some people have gifts that they don't use and if you don't use a gift that you have been given you will loose it.
