Futile. Because you are assuming that destiny exists. If it exists then it will have to be in existence since the beginning of time. If it has always existed, then it will always be at work. Every step will be control and manipulated by destiny either directly or indirectly. Therefore, any resistance is futile.

There is a lesson to be learned in every struggle. The lesson in every struggle is for our own benefit. Resisting that lesson is the only thing that is futile, because life will simply give us another opportunity by giving us another test, another struggle. Once we learn the necessary lesson we will never be tested again on that issue.
The easiest and quickest way to find contentment and peace in life is when faced with a situation you didn't expect is, ask the question "what am I supposed to learn from this"? If you correctly learn the lesson, the strife associated with the experience will quickly be replaced by a sense of ease.
Please be aware, there are many, many lessons to be learned.

I believe that you "make your own luck." You obviously cannot control everything in life and, as they say, "stuff" happens. But you can greatly increase your odds of attaining positive results in life by your attitude & outlook. I see too many passive, lazy people today who do not want to take personal responsbility for their own lives. They essentially want to remain children forever -to be taken care of by mommy or daddy or other people or the government. And if things don't always go their way, of course they put the blame elsewhere & stay stuck in the same mode. It's easier that way. Life is still difficult, but for most, it's a helluva lot better than it ever has been. If you want good results, work for them.
