I am a full time student online and I have tried working and going to school and I was distracted and my GPA dropped to a 3.50 from a 4.0 I enjoy working and all yet I dont feel as though I will be able to do both. My b/f doesnt want me to work because he knows I want to do well in school, but I feel like I am not contributing to the household funds even though he makes good money how can i deal with this?

Realize that your are investing in your education right now, if your B/F is that great that he is willing to take care of you while you invest in your self, that is just awsome. Concentrate on finishing and doing well in school, once you have your degree, you can get a good paying job and contribute to your household.

When your blessings become your burdens, you are being too selfish. This isn't a crisis...so don't make it into one. You wont be a student for ever. Money is one of those things people take too personal...sometimes you have a lot sometimes not so much....the answer is always make more or spend less. Keep is simple. If you can afford to focus on your studies, do so. And nurture your relationship. If you can't afford it, get a part time job. Good Luck . Might be time to look for some balance....work, rest, play, exercise and faith..... we can't all be A students in all five areas....I used to say I was an A+ Mom, a B+ student, a C+ employee and barely passing as a wife, failing miserably as a friend....but I knew that my degree would end soon enough..... the + was to remind me how much I wanted it all... lol

It's great that your boyfriend is being so supportive of you during this time- you'll be done soon and then you can contribute as well. I think if it's not a financial stress, you should keep concentrating on school. If you could use the extra cash, then maybe get a part time job on the weekends.
Either way- you've got a good guy!

It sounds like both of you have a lot going for you. Think about this:

If you have a trusting relationship with your boyfriend, you've got to have faith in him on this one. Trust in him if he says he doesn't resent the inequity in income.

I have a similar situation with my husband, and I feel that my contribution to household is to give him a comfy, loving atmosphere. I keep things clean, try to make good dinners for him, have him come home to a happy house. A batch of brownies could be worth a week's income to him!

See if you can find work that'll allow you to do both. Same work, shorter hours?

How would having lower marks affect your graduation/getting a job unless you're taking the bar exam?

Maybe he's just proud. I understand that he wants you to get top marks, but tell him you want to contribute more and don't make it his decision.

Count your blessings! You have a boyfriend that is supportive of your need to study. There will be plenty of time after graduation for working!
