I used to work for Pizza Express and they're pretty good but not quite as good as the real thing because in the restaurants, they prep the toppings fresh every day.
PS! Natasha I'm afraid the dough in the restaurants isn't fresh. The only large pizza chain that did make fresh dough every day was Pizzaland (I know because I worked there as a manager too when I was younger and got to work at 6 of a morning to help the chefs make buckets and buckets of the stuff which was darn hard work).
Pizza Express buys in the dough in boxes of frozen doughballs which are then defrosted, proved, and then rolled out into pizza bases/garlic bread/garlic doughballs.
Most of the other ingredients from Pizza Express are fresh though and they tend to buy more superior frozen dough than most of the other chains which is why their pizzas are generally better in most people's views. The supermarket versions aren't frozen as some people think - the bases are part-baked and the toppings have a sell-by date. Don't whatever you do cook from frozen as the base doesn't bear well under it.

They are not as nice, mainly because the pizza you eat at PE, is made fresh from the dough to the toppings they put on top, and it is hot out of a stone oven, ooooh I really fancy one now!

Cheaper, which is good, but they're not often cooked in a wood/clay oven so the crispy, oak-tasting base will be absent. Plus, they frequently have less toppings than you might expect in the restaurant. But, like I said, they're cheaper...

Not as nice and dont taste as fresh as the ones in the restaurants, however they are much cheaper so you get what you pay for I guess!

Not as good, but IMO better than any other brand you can buy from the supermarket.

It depends on the restaurant, but they can be as good, if you add some more of your favourite toppings, and be carefull how you cook it.
