G'day,

You can get student visa to study at TAFE in Australia.

What you need to do is:
1. Get the application form for the TAFE that you want to study in.
2. Fill in the form and send it together with certified copy of your academic transcripts (in English).
3. While waiting you may want to take the IELTS (English proficiency) test. This is needed on the later stage of application process and to apply for visa as well. Weblink provided below.
4. Once you got the offer, and met all condition (if there are), then pay the required tuition fee and you can apply for student visa.

That's the path in general.

Please be advised that as an international student, you can only work for maximum 20hrs/week during study period and full-time during holiday period only. Therefore you cannot rely on the job in Australia to support yourself.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your study and welcome to Australia.

Hi there,

Well don't worry,There are already many International students studying in TAFE right now so you will get the Visa. TAFE is very good to study and also more useful then Uni, I think. Well the average fees in TAFE is around AUS$10,000 per year but again depands on your course. And it is valued in Australia also and other countries. You can also countinue your studies if you want, Uni will recogenise your Credits of TAFE, Many TAFE's have agreements with Uni so after completing 2yrs at TAFE you can study for 1.5-2 yrs at Uni and can get a Bachelors degree as well. So don't worry buddy.

Have a nice day.

No, you're in Australia on a Student Visa, when you finish your course you have to return to your own country. Unless of Course you can get offered a job.
