Aarrgh! Don't encourage me to re-evaluate my life! I'll end up jumping off the Kincardine Bridge!

I began reevaluating my life December 07, 2004, the day after my Mother dropped dead at the age of 65.

I have changed so much about myself and my life that I practically do not recognize myself. But I am a much happier woman, living in a much quieter place of beauty. I have gotten rid of a lot of the stress and bull**** I was living with, I have sorted through my friends and eliminated those that I found to be negative influences. I have gotten rid of all the LIES and LIARS, as I no longer have room for either.
Life is much too short. I want so much to live and be happy well into my 80's.
I miss my Mother so much, but truly began living because she died.

Yes I did that just over 2 years ago, my hubby and I were always there for everyone in our life, no matter what time of the day or night they needed us, we'd listened to their tales of woe, let them cry on our shoulders, run them here and there and done everything we could for them, babysat their kids so they could go out of a weekend, fed their cats which we hate, whilst they were on holiday, then my hubby had a pretty bad accident at work, guess what, not a soul was there for us when we really needed their help, all busy or noticeable by their absence, funnily enough when the compensation came through they all crawled back out of the woodwork again, but we'd had enough of been treat like crap, so we paid our mortgage off, took a holiday of a lifetime, did some work in the house and generally told them these two old worms had turned into butterflies and didn't need their hassle anymore, now we pick and choose what we do, who we help and stopped running round after people, they don't like it, we do, sometimes you just have to do these things to get your own life back again.

As hard as it might be to bring it up, I would talk to him about it. If you love him as much as you say, he deserves to at least get your honest opinion and the truth about things. I don't think you should let this break up your relationship, but let him know that its a big deal. As a single mother, you should not have to put up with another child thats grown and not even yours! If he refuses to change, then maybe call it quits, but give him the benifit of the doubt. At some point, its time for him to grow up!

Honestly, I am still re-evaluating my life until now, everyday. Because basically I realize that I have the similar traits like my family and parents. So I need to change. And how can I change? Knowing is the beginning. Learning more and more about yourself. Change is important because it means that you grow. So, it's important to change yourself to be the better version and for not getting sucked in the same hole. It's all about self-examinations and self-evaluations.

Recently....I've come to the conclusion that I'm not where I want to be, but the only thing I can do now is work on being the best ME I can....everyone else will have to wait a little bit.

I did this about 5 years ago. I was suffering with depression, and I felt it was to do with how **** my life had become. So, I lost weight, cut my hair, changed jobs and dumped my fiance.
I felt better.
Since then, I have got a great promotion at work and met and married a new man!!!
It was the best thing I ever did!!!
