But, in answer to your question, YES! Today is an official holiday! That isn't to say that most people don't have to work! There are lots of places that are open on holidays and they still need their employees to work! Now, again, if you are allowed to go onto Yahoo Q&A while your working, I want your job! Pretty nice deal! lol

Today is a federal and state holiday. They combined Washington and Lincoln's bdays and made "Presidents' Day" which is celebrated the 3rd Monday in Feb.
If you are working, then you work for someone other than a federal or state agency.

It;s one of those government holiday's
You know
where the post office, banks and government workers (and sometimes garbage men)
get off and not the average worker
