why do people say that the 90s was kinda like the 70s?

i hear people say that there was a retro-70s movement in the 90s...aside from "that 70s show" i cant for the life of me figure out what was so 70s-ish about the 90s? any ideas?

I have no idea either. The seventies had a lot of life. The 90's was sterile.

People are dressing the same, talking the same and acting the same. Not exactly, but alot like the 70s*
