The Melting Pot is a really fun national fondue chain. It can be a little pricey if you get a lot of food. You can really fill up on just the cheese and chocolate courses!

The Monastery in Cleveland, Ohio.....Very quaint Tea house and the Food is the best I have had for a long time... Tea is great, food is infused with tea. John the owner is very interesting and the atmosphere is nice and quiet. cup Carnegie from the east side subs then right on 25th, just down a few blocks on the left side.

Check out http://www.opentable.com for nice restaurants in your area. Nothing that has coupons or birthday singers. I would avoid the chain places (Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc.) Those places are insulting to gourmands.

You might find a Japanese Restaurant that does the cooking right in front of you. The food is wonderful and the chefs are highly entertaining!

Depends on where you are gonna be in america. I lot of the chain resturants can be good but more often they are lazy with preperation and quality of food. I suggest asking local people in the area about what is a good resturant. Otherwise pick up the local paper and check their food section to see what they recommend.
