no the Contraceptive injection will have worn off by now. I would go to the docs and have some tests done also get your partner tested as it may not be you that has a problem.
I have had the Contraceptive injection and i'm ok (can have children fine) so i dont think or know of any cases where the Contraceptive injection has caused infertility.
Good luck!

Heres all i know about the depo jab,Many woman i speak with have concieved succsessfully within 3 years of stopping in extreme cases it can be up to 5 years not for the jab to leave the system but for your bodys true menses and ovulation return to normal many woman dont realise after using any form of contraception that is direct into blood stream takes a while to leave the body yes you may have periods but these are better known as false periods it takes time for a true ovulatery cycle to return.
How do these contraceptive jabs work?
They have three anti-fertility effects.
1.)They stop you from ovulating (producing eggs).
2.)They thicken the mucus in your cervix – making it difficult for sperms to get through.
3.)They make the lining of your womb thinner, so that if an egg (ovum) became fertilised, it would have difficulty attaching itself to the lining.
What are the side effects?
Don’t let anyone give you the idea that the jab is without side effects! In particular, there is a very high chance (40 per cent) that your periods will be disrupted in some way.
For Depo-Provera (medroxyprogesterone acetate or DMPA), the commoner side-effects are as follows:
heavy periods (menorrhagia)
prolonged periods
irregular or infrequent periods (oligomenorrhoea)
absent periods – though many women are very grateful for this effect
headache
tummy ache
weakness
dizziness
weight gain
delayed return of fertility after stopping the jab – however, there’s no evidence at present (2007) of long-term infertility.
There are other (rarer) side-effects, and you should talk these over with the doctor or nurse.
If you and your partner are both healthy and fertile you will get there just stay positive try to relax and stop stressing its the biggest cause of temporary infertility. You will get your bundle of jot when the time is right so for now make the most of yours and your partners independence and time for making love once you have your bundle you wont get time!!

The injection would not make you infertile. It causes temporary changes in your hormone levels that make pregnancy impossible. Once it is out of your system, your levels return to normal. This is evidenced by you having periods.
If you are having problems conceiving, it would not be a result of the injection.

"Your periods, and fertility, can return immediately. However, after stopping the Depo-Provera injections, they may take a few months to return. Sometimes it can take more than a year for your periods and fertility to get back to normal." I found this information on a website. I hope it helps. If you are still worried i would look into getting a fertility test or even have your husband/boyfriend tested as well if your comes back okay. Good Luck:)

No, not in my case. I was on it too for three years, then had to come off it for medical reasons. It took a year for my periods to come back and then I went on the pill for another 4 years. I can off that and fell pregnant after 7 months of trying. I used an ovulation kit for the last month as nothing had happened, and fell pregnant on the first use.
Keep trying, and try to relax, it will help.

I was on the injection for 3 year, and I´m 22 weeks pregnant. But i suppose everyone is different, I would go and talk to a doctor and get some clarity on this, I think your doctor will be the best person to ask as he has more medical background....

It shouldn't still be in your system, if your periods have returned to normal. I have read an article where a woman believed it had affected her chances of conceiving although there is no evidence to suggest this

Through studying it myself I have found that 18 months is the expected time for fertility to get to normal again, though sometimes women can get thier fertility back almost instantly. Go see your doc, you've given it plenty of time hun, see what he says.
Can I ask..... How long did it take for your periods to start again?
