i have just got a new computer a faulty one it doesn't work it wont display anything either so i moved my processor over and my graphics card and 1 of my ram sticks to it to test it and still nothing so i move them back and now my working computer will not display anything either so i got a new processor to see if that solved the problem it id definitely booting because i can feel the hard drive spinning and i have tried it without that particular ram card in it .

So it must be my graphics card i guess but this has an arctic cooling fan on it and this still works which is powered through the card so there is obviously power going through it

i cant work it out any help would be appreciated cos im going nuts

thanks

Definetly something to do with the graphics card. It could be that the mother board does not support your graphics card. Does your computer has a build in graphics card. Some do. If you do connect your monitor to that port and see if it works. If it does then you can go to your bios and change some setting to disable your motherboard graphics card. this will let your new graphic card to work properly.

Did you intalled the drivers for the graphics card? The graphics card comes with a cd. I mean it should work to some extend without installing the drivers.

I would call the company that sold you the new computer and ask if your graphics card is compatible with your mother board. It could be that the card is also defective. I mean, it should had work in the old computer.

Most likely problems:

Bad RAM
Bad power supply (not enough power)
Bad motherboard

These days, CPUs RARELY go bad. Video cards are more common, but usually due to heat, not being bad out of the box.

Regardless, if it is new, it is under warranty. Stop messing with it and get it RMA'd.

Ok,

Do you have on-board VGA? check your mamaboard manual first. If there is a on-board VGA, remove your VGA then enter the BIOS, set on-board VGA as your graphic driver.

I suggest you unplug all hardware then test it with somebody PC one by one, you may see what the hell went wrong.

while you're no longer soft beginning the case of your pc to do the bootstrap technique (unplugging all hardware and plugging it in one via one) then which you ought to to take it to somebody or call the 'ineffective hp facilities element'. it relatively is considering which you may actually cut back to rubble your pc extra beneficial than it already is via no longer understanding what you're doing and improperly following proper instructions. How lots is your pc/information worth to you?

Depends where you got it from. If you just built it yourself, then whoops, you screwed up. If you bought it from a company like Dell then you just tell them that it was messed up when you bought it and they should do something about it.
