( a^n - 1 + b^n -1 )

A = a^n-1 B = B^n-1 so

(A+B)^2 = A^2 + B^2 + 2 A B

= (a^n-1)^2 + (b^n-1)^2 + 2 (a^n-1) (b^n-1)
