Try beating this one if you think you feel old - PUSSYCAT WILLUM! He was the "deaf and dumb" cat with Muriel.

I must have been deprived as a child because the only similar kids tv shows I remember are The Clangers, Crystal Tips & Alastair, Mr Ben, Roobarb & Custard, Rainbow, The Herbs, The Magic Roundabout.

I never saw Button Moon or Bagpuss or even Camberwick Green (or the other similar one). My husband who's 5 yrs younger remembers all of these and we recently had to buy Mr Ben and Rainbow's special anniversary edition DVD's for our 4yr old son (or so my husband says)....and of course he's grown to love watching them (WITH HIS DAD)!!!! How many times have I discovered them watching together with my hubby totally oblivious to the fact that our son fell asleep half an hour ago!!!!!

The only one I can think of was called T-Bag from the 1980's about a witch called T-Bag (short for Tallulah Bag I think). T-Bag's nephew was called T-Shirt!

In each episode there was a girl who used to have to complete a task in order to defeat the plans of T-Bag.

T-Bag was played by Elizabeth Estensen who went on to play Diane Blackstock in Emmerdale

My favourite TV programme from when I was a kid has to be Rent-a-ghost and also one called Chocky and the follow up Chockys Children but no-one seems to remember those.

There was the Teabag one but there was also Simon and the Witch (with a young Daniella Westbrook I think) where the witch lived next door. Think it was based on a book. I'd forgotten about Greenclaws, that's the one with the weird clock plants and various things.

You feel old??? God, I remember 1970s kids tv!!! My younger sis used to watch Button Moon. My fave was Mr. Benn & the very rude Captain Pugwash which I didn't realise was rude then. It had great characters such as Master Bates & Seaman Stains. Classic!
