Hi we're going to Orlando in May and are considering buying tickets but as they are quite expensive ($120.00 pp) we want peoples opinions that have already been.
What did you think? Where did you sit and were they good seats? Where would you recommend to sit?
How long does the show last and was it worth the money?
Any genuine opinions please!

Oh, wow! I am a big fan of all the different Cirque du Soleil shows around the world. Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba at Downtown Disney is a must-see everytime my boyfriend and I go to Walt Disney World. It's the only show I've seen live, but I've seen all the other shows on DVD. We've seen La Nouba the past two summers and are seeing it again when we return to Walt Disney World in July. It gets better everytime! It's absolutely astonishing! I can't even explain... the music, the performances... everything is just incredible! The show lasts around two hours. As the second person mentioned, there's no intermission, but it doesn't matter. You're so captivated, the time does go by fast. It's definitely worth the money! Tickets to the show were always included in our vacation packages, so we got decent seats both times. The first time we were seated in Category 1 (104). The second time we were seated in Category Front & Center (103). We were located in the last row of each section, which I loved. We had a perfect view, but since we were towards the back of the section we had a quick, easy exit once the show ended. I liked our seating the second time best, though. They always have this little pre-show where the two clowns come out with a stack of boxes and put on a short comedic performance involving a member or two from the audience. They always perform this act right behind Category Front & Center, so on our last visit we were part of the clown's performance. We'd actually been outside for a second making a phone call. When we came back in the clowns were right by our seats. We didn't really want to mess up the performance at all, but we didn't want to just stand there either, so we climbed over the back of our seats quickly. The clowns were stacking the boxes up in the lap of a woman in the seat next to me. I looked at her and looked back at the clown. He acted surprised since we weren't in our seats a second ago, put his hand on the top of my head, turned my head to the left so I was looking at my boyfriend, then he took my boyfriend's arm and put it around my shoulder. It was very cute, and very exciting being a small part of the performance. So, if you can afford any section, I would obviously recommend Category Front & Center. I think they reserve the last rows for Guests who have tickets for the show included in their packages, but any seats in this section are wonderful and offer a perfect view.

If you check out the link below and click on the seating chart you can click on the different seating sections to see a sample view from that seating area...

Anyway, as I've mentioned, Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba is the only Cirque du Soleil show I've seen live and in person. However, I've seen all the other Cirque du Soleil shows, even the ones that are no longer in production (I have them all on DVD and watch them all the time), and of all the Cirque du Soleil shows, La Nouba is definitely my favorite. I really love the part with the little girls and the Chinese yo-yos. It's so awesome! I'm sure you'll really enjoy the show! It's simply breathtaking, and all the singing and intstrumentals are performed live. Ah, it gives me the chills just thinking about it! You should definitely get tickets to the show. It'll blow your mind!

Hope I could help! Have a wonderful time!

Cirque is an amazing show, in my opinion. It may not be the best for everyone, but I think it is fantastic. I think the way a lot of people describe it is that it is kind of like a circus. But, it has a lot more energy and unbelieveable stunts. I think it is a great show and makes for a nice evening. The only thing is that the show isn't always as much fun for kids, it really depends on the child. Disney recommends that if your child cannot sit through an entire movie, that the show is not best for them.

As far as where to sit, they did a nice job with the seating so that all of the seats provide a nice view. I prefer sitting in the middle of the theater over the sides, but the sides are not necessarily bad seats. I have sat close to the stage before, but I prefer sitting a little further back, I think you can see more that way. If you are able to get a seat in the middle section between the two levels of seating, that is where I like to sit. Cateogry one seating is great, but if you want to save a little money, category two is good as well.

Hope this helps!

Ah bliss! We had the very good fortune to be gifted tickets to "La Nouba", 9 pm show, performed by the renown Cirque Du Soleil this holiday season while visiting Disney World in Orlando. Cirque de Soleil performs in a custom designed building at Disney's "Downtown Disney" venue, that is a large outdoor mall. The Cirque's huge building as much a hulking concrete alien as a postmodern circus tent. Inside, you know why the place looms so large - Stadium seating. Although we had probably the most ideal seats [5th row, smack dab in the center: Section 103, Row E, Seat 12], there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. [However, I do think it adds a lot to be able to see the facial expressions of the performers, so I would recommend spending the extra bucks to get the prime seats.]
Playing off the idea of a more traditional three ring circus, the Cirque has created a stage with three platforms that emerge from the floor of the stage, but the Cirque's performance also uses the airspace above the stage, the audience, and the stage foreground at the same time - there's always something to watch and always something in the background waiting to catch your eye. There is no dialog, no real animals, no traditional magic. The tradition of no dialog works well for Cirque de Soleil since the performers come from many countries and is performed in many countries. There is inspiring music and there is [unboring] mime. The performances are as the previous reviews have mentioned - both surreal and artful.
The brilliant costuming [particularly enjoyed by our teen who plotted future fashion statements inspired by Cirque's costumes] and make-up references Perriot, Pagliacci, and other famous clowns and probably some French characters with which I am not familiar. In particular, and hopefully I am not giving too much away by getting specific, but I particularly enjoyed the performance of four men with pattern-bald hair-makeup, dressed as 'muses' in white gauze dresses [yes: dresses]
who perform repetitive, quirky, movements in the background sets as an emphasis device. As odd as this sounds, it works. These funny little men provide the perfect point and counterpoint to acts of super-human dexterity and skill. The muses, and other clowns and characters, work to direct your gaze to the next act and to provide necessary mild comic relief between them, and provide the visual glue to connect what could otherwise have been a string of unrelated acts.
All is done with great style and abundant joy.
This show might empty your pockets, but it will fill your heart. Go.
[Notes: Elevator alternative to steps. Disabled rows. Snack bar in lobby, but why? 2 hours go by SO fast - no intermission. Gift shop at entrance - go before the show or get in the shop quickly after the show if you want to buy souvenirs - the smallish shop jams up after the show.]

You must go!!! It is so well worth it! We were in the first row of the second level & thought initially that it wouldn't be good seats, but when the show started, they paraded right in front of us! Very cool!!! The show itself is so entertaining that it probably won't matter where you sit.
I have seen the other Cirque de Soleil shows on TV as well, and they are incredible, but being there in person is awesome! DO IT! You won't regret it!

I have seen the Cirque de Soleil show in Las Vegas. It was worth the price we sat close to the stage. I would highly recommend any of the Cirque de Soleil shows I know it was the highlight of our Vegas trip, we are going back next month and will go see another one. Worth the money go see!!

We saw La Nouba in Xmas of '05 and it was great! That was our third Cirque show I believe...I don't remember there really being any bad seats...but I would guess that the closer to the stage and the closer to the middle you are the better it will be.

Have fun!

in case you have considered 3 i don't think of it quite is quite quite worth the $60.00 according to grownup (supply or take) to be sure yet another. I advise the Blue guy team coach at standard Studios in simple terms up the line slightly. Junior is probable slightly youthful to truly take excitement in the two and Blue guy gets slightly loud.... So - exciting for each age - DisneyQuest - suitable around the corner to l. a. Nouba. it quite is approximately $fifty 5.00 for adults regardless of the undeniable fact that it quite is a large video sport arcade plus it has different issues like a digital curler coaster etc. given which you're saddled with the parasites i think of it is your perfect wager for the money.

GREAT SHOW! I don't think there are any bad seats at that venue because they have it set up as an arched stadium seating. Both times that my family and I went we had seats to the FAR left but I think the seats were great. We were close to the stage and got to see everything.

Go to the matinee. Same show, but cheaper (as I recall - it's been a few years).

It's very good, but it might be too much for real little kids.
