1) Use a Mach III razor
2) Use name brand shaving gel for sensitive skin
*if you are very prone to ripping get a women's gel
for sensitive skin
3) Cleanse your face and neck with a washcloth and soap
4) Apply gel and shave in downward strokes. Rinse blades often
5) Rinse face
6) Apply gel and shave in upward strokes. Rinse blades often
7) Rinse face

If you do this once a week, you can maintain a fairly close shave with an electric. If you are using an electric with a foil head, get rid of it and get a norelco style shaver. unless you have tough skin, a foil head electric will tear you up. Triple heads tend not to.

Also, for electric shaving, try puting on your after shave before shaving and alow it to dry first. It makes your beard stand up for a closer shave.

Note: If you don't replace your blades at the first sign of pulling, you are not getting a close shave and risk ripping your face up. It can be expensive if you want this level of quality daily.

Good luck :-)

Get a fog-proof mirror, a good 4-blade razor and good shaving cream. Shave while taking a hot shower. The hot water will relax your pores. Only shave in a downwards motion. Pulling the razor up your face will cause knicks and ingrown hairs. Pat your face dry and use an aftershave that does not sting.

Electric razors always tore my face apart, so I gave up on them. The key is one of the new 4- or 5-blade razors, and only use it 2-3x maximum, depending on how thick your beard is. After that, leave it for the wife/gf so they can do their legs and pits.

I have a similar problem and had tried various things and finally found one that works. I use a Gillete Fusion razor. Get a decent fogless or fog free mirror found at Bed Bath and Beyond. I use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and shave in the shower. I think you can figure out how to use all of that. You don't need the mirror per say, but I have a gotee as well so I needed to see what I was doing to keep my gotee looking ok.

There are several shave gels/creams/foams on the market today that claim closer shaves, smoother skin, less irritation yadda yadda yadda. It all is how much money you want to spend. Something you could try, and it works for my husband who has extremely sensitive skin, is gillette satin care gel for women. There are different fragrances so that you can choose one that wont leave you smelling "girly". It is designed for women to shave their higher irritated areas (armpits, bikini area) so it makes sense to use it on a sensitive face. Lastly, are you sure its not the razor itself that is as you put it ripping your face apart? Disposable razors are the worst. Try the Gillette Mach 5. Good luck

Try hair conditiner as opposed to shaving cream. I don't know if you'l get a closer shave but the razon will slide easier.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

a million. purchase a cheap battery powered alarm clock. (you will get one for a pair funds at any walmart). set it for some early morning hour and cover it lower than a dresser, lower than a mattress, someplace so someone can might want to face up and seem for it. 2. Scotch tape (sparkling), criss-crossed throughout a doorway so someone walks into it. 3. Vasoline on the doorknob. 4. Take batteries out of remotes. 5. Unscrew gentle bulbs. 6. Toothpaste, shaving cream, lotion, (something gooey), contained in the footwear. 7. mix some Elmer's glue in with a bottle of liquid cleansing soap, or hand lotion. Makes outstanding little gooey balls of glue at the same time as someone rubs it in, highly in the experience that they have got hair on their forearms. 8. Unplug the cable. (fairly, you could unplug highly a lot something and that is an aggravation) 9. Take a field of crackers, or chips, or inspite of, give way them up, and unfold them between the sheets.

Shave in the shower, and make sure your razor has no perfect edge, IE no nicks, bends, and make sure your razor has glide strips.
