These are the ones that I know about...
*Soul Queen...East side
*BJ's Market...East side and it has more of a modern flare.
*Sabrina's...Hazel Crest
*Dusties...South Suburbs

I think that Soul Queen tastes more traditional, if that's what you're looking for. Also, the "take out" orders are huge. You can share it with 2 or 3 people or just have plenty of left-overs.

House of Blues Restaurant, 333 N. Dearborn. Its right next to the House of Blues Hotel, and the restaurant has a concert venu and live music.

i dont know about soul food .. but if you're looking for a good time and dont mind getting insulted (its fun not really malicious) then you should go to Dick's its by Navy Pier .. im from ny and went on a trip to chi town .. ***** was probably the best part of the trip .. its really fun and has great food ribs, wings, crab, shrimp, chicken w/e

Yes, I agree with the guy above.
Sabrina's is really good, I usually get a take out container which is usually enough food for two days.

There's a famous one on the west side..I think it's on Madison...CRAP..I forget the name. Sorry, man. My homie took me by there. I don't go into that hood unless I was with him. With all them Vice Lords and Black Stones over there..and me being latino...wouldn't go over too well.
