I did not know that God is a Republican. Nobody is shutting down your church but also I don't want your religion shoved into my face. America is a melting pot of many religions. Each one should be given the same respect and tolerance. You have the attitude that religion should play a major role as long as it is the one you worship. If you call the Republicans of today moral, then you are in denial. Foley, the child molester. Bush and Cheney the liars that have us in a war where 655,000 Iraqi are dead. 3125 American soldiers dead. You should read your bible instead of thumping it so much. You would learn to be Christlike. In as far as the IRS, many churches are great money making entities. Look at the PTL scandals.....money given by widows to buy air conditioned dog houses. Churches, like any other organization, should be responsible for the money they receive. If you have nothing to hide, you should not mind a good audit.

When the Church turns into a political action committee, interfering with politics and thus the lives of anyone that does not follow the delusion of Christianity, they run the risk of loosing their tax exempt status.
If your going to play politics, you have to pay the admission charge of taxes.
With as much as the Christian church has been screwing with the private lives of people of other faiths and violating the religious freedoms of other faiths by manipulating the congress, being taxed should be the least of your problems.
Furthermore the existence of the church is protected by the constitution.
Get over yourself and go spread your lies somewhere else.

Its just a matter of time. They have been cutting away slowly to get to the heart and yes, if they keep going, Christian churches as we know them, will be a thing of the past.
You can see how quick they blame world trouble on the Bible thumping Neocons and how they think we control the conservatives.
82% of Americans say they are Christians., Why don't they go out and vote their beliefs instead of hoping someone else votes the right people into office. That is a large group of people and if they are true, Born Again Christians, we could see Congress change and for the better, in a couple of short elections.
So what is keeping you from getting out and voicing your opinion there Christians??? Keep sitting on your do nothings and then, you wont have anything to do cause Congress will abolish all that your faith says is good and right in this Nation

Now that the Democrats have a majority in both houses, all members of congress are amoral and liberals? Ridiculous!
Even if that assertion were true, haven't you ever heard of "Checks and Balances?" Either the President or the Supreme Court can scrutenize and prevent bills from passing, by exercising their respective authority.
You need to re-enroll in a high school government/civics course.
And, as stated above, currently, churches are classified as non-profit entities, and as such, are not taxed.

You have nothing to fear from the IRS. They are so much behind and it costs them about $1700 to do a full audit. They are only going after the people who can make it worth their while.
As far as the liberal congress, they are a joke. The really have no power just like when they tried to stop the advancement of the 21,000 extra troops. They flopped big time.

George Washington faced more life-and-death decisions than most of us. And while he was not perfect - he was not above impatience, ambition and even arrogance - he more often than not made the right decision. The question is, why? What led him to do the right thing - not for himself necessarily, and not just for the good of the nation (though it certainly was), but in and of itself?
One clue may lie in the orders he gave his troops July 9, 1776: "The blessing and protection of Heaven are at all times necessary but especially so in times of public distress and danger - The General hopes and trusts, that every officer and man will endeavour so to live, and act, as becomes a Christian Soldier defending the dearest Rights and Liberties of his country."
Yes, in God we should trust.

No liberal wants to close down your church, fool.
All liberals and most other folks want is to not have bozos like you shove your religion down our throats.
Take a ride on the Clue Train.
Here are a few quotes from some fairly prominent Americans:
"The United States is in no sense founded upon the Christian doctrine." - George Washington
"It does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." - Thomas Jefferson
"I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature." - Thomas Jefferson
"I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church." - Thomas Paine
"The Bible is not my book, and Christianity is not my religion. i could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma." - Abraham Lincoln

How much longer until wrong-winged republicans and the holier-than-thous tell us how to worship and what to worship. At least for the next two years, we real Christians can breathe a little freer
