slimming belts do not slim.....it is a lie. All you lose is water...you gain it back when you re-hydrate...You use a funny phrase..." my muscular fat thighs.."..If your legs are heavier muscled then do more aerobic work (long distance walking\running)...part of this is genetic..you cannot fight that...but muscular legs are not bad thing.First try to make peace with your body, and start to change what you can and accept what you can't.

My daughter has the same complaint. But she has read a book that deals with muscles, pain and referred pain called The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. So she has a better idea of how the muscles all work together to help us out.
The way to loose muscle is to loose weight but if that is the only place you are concerned about just watch the portion sizes you will come out ahead.

I doubt it. You would be best off doing some high repetitious, low resistance exercises which will tone the muscle and lower muscle bulk. Anything from running/jogging, swimming, cycling to rowing or aerobics. You will notice that long distance athletes have considerably smaller muscles compared to sprint athletes, so it makes sense to train like they do(not necessarily to the extreme).
