Please help me find a safe and reliable antivirus and antispiware that is free. need to protect my computer from viruses and spyware. great thank to all for that help.

Go to download.com, seach for AVG, also click under licences free, download. AVG works for me!

I find Avg free edition is the best. Also Avg has a free trial on their Avg spyware and malware. It works great to. It finds things that my Lava soft doesn't find. They let you keep it free after the trial and it still works good. I use both Lava soft ad aware and the Avg.

Go to http://www.free-av.com -- it's a free antivirus software from Germany and free for private users - and one of the world's best antivirus softwares. But, you only should run ONE antivirus software on your computer, never more than one.
"Avast" also is a good antivirus software as well.
