i heard that if you tan in a tanning bed before you are pregnant, it takes longer to get the stretched out skin back to normanl after having a baby? and the tanning makes your skin less elastic like. i have tanning a lot in the past few years and now i am goin to try to have a child. i havent tanned in about 7 months.

I'm not sure of the scientific answer to your question, but I can offer personal experience.

I tanned for about 3 months prior to becoming pregnant. Stopped tanning when I found out we were expecting (yes, our pregnancy was a surprise), I told my OB about it and my son was fine. I didn't take my skin any longer than normal to get back to it's original shape.

I've also tanned since I've had my son. I know it's bad for you, but I love doing it. I don't drink, smoke or do any drugs, so I guess tanning is about the worse thing I do...lol Tanning after pregnancy has made my stretch marks less noticeable and also gives me a little "me" time since I stay home with our 4 yr old and 2 yr old.

I hoped this helped a little bit and I didn't ramble on too much. Good Luck!

Jergans organic Glow fake Tan Lotion works incredibly nicely :) BTW tanning beds are by no ability sturdy for you. they provide you epidermis maximum cancers. a million hour in a tanning mattress is equivalent 10 4 hours in the midday solar. My mom have been given epidermis maximum cancers from tanning beds. only think of in the past you do it

I tanned up until I got a postive test line, and I only have stretch marks on my boobs.

Elasticity is replenished by hydration, so long as you use lotion on your skin to prevent it from drying then you're fine.

Besides, stretch marks are genetic, if you're going to get them they'll show up.
