I have a wall in my bedroom that had wall paper but we had taken it off and now all that's left is the paste. I've tried everything and can't get it off. Any suggestion?

From experience - I can tell you that the paste is a nuisance. However, I have found that spraying a mixture of fabric softener and water (one part fabric softener to three parts water) on the paste helps. Essentially, you will need to spray the wallpaper paste with the solution - let is sit for a few minutes and then scrape with a wall scraper. Just be care full not to damage the drywall when scraping.
Good luck,

either buy commercial wall paper remover & follow instructions or try adding isopropal alcoho to warm water, spray on wall ,scrud with a barbeque cleaning pad ,scrape gingerly with a putty knife ,rinse and repeat ,dry with towel ,wet fingers & touch wall ,if get sticky ,there is still paste on the wall ,when all paste is removed you can then repair & prime with oil based primer & paint with latex paint

The easiest way that I have found is to use regular dishwashing detergent and water in a spray bottle. Spray it on and let it set for a few minutes then scrape it off
