I'm not sure we'd call ourselves a State. We might be in a state as to how to solve the problem of sharia, for example but, generally speaking, Britain never surrenders and usually sees a job through. Humbled? Come on, who's kidding whom? Since we have been trying to help Iraq and have had far too many body bags returned home thanks to factions who think they don't need help, my view is that the Iraqi army should resume control and we'll trot off to Afghanistan. We might come back into Iran, of course, depending on circumstances!

We should not have sent troops there in the first place so there is no question of the British State eating humble pie.
The cost of these Blair inspired wars is costing us countless billions, money that should have been used to restore our crumbling infrastructure is being wasted together with the loss of precious life's on both sides. It is time that this and another government started listening to the British people instead of warmongers in America and Israel.

I wish to see the British state destroyed and humbled in iraq, maybe then the British publi will actually stop being brainwashed and see themselves correctly as English. Hopefully the British state will be defeated, and become weak there by giving us the chance to become a part of our destiny, and realise and be proud of being English

Whether the war is right or wrong our boys are doing a bl00dy good job out there in difficult and dangerous conditions. They deserve our full support and backing not wishing they were defeated and humbled. Incidentally when was the last time us Brits were humbled and defeated in conflict? Its never gonna happen.

Hardly.
I hope that Iraq has a chance to become a free country. I hope that Iraq becomes the most powerful democracy in the Mid-East. I hope the Iraqis take advantage of the opportunity they are being given.

"humbled then defeated in Iraq ?" I think we made a bigger mistake allowing mass immigration of Muslims into the UK.

I wish to see the mighty forces of the Great British and American Armies of the Enlightened World sweep through Mesopotamia and the rest of the Arab world, brushing all before it into the dustbin of history!
Onward, mighty forces!

It will never happen,The British never back down if you want a resent example try The Falklands...we didn't really want it, we just didn't want anyone else to own it.I personally want to see all the troops home. They have freed Iraqis from a murderous dictator and I understand the troops need to stay till everything is sorted and changes are in place but too many young men have died for a war that wasn't anything to do with us.

I wish to see the British and the US soldiers back home where they belong. Enough innocent lives lost in this unjust war already. Be it British, American, Iraqi or any other, these people are dying for political bull.
