Certain days of the year like today for instance, we look out and there is an American Flag in the yard by our curb, as is every other house on our block. I can't seem to figure out who puts them there. Some of the houses keep the flags there all year long. Its doesn't bother me that they are there, it bothers me that I don't know who does it! lol Ive tried watching to see who comes and takes them but I always miss them...who do you think it is...And its not all over town either just our block...maybe a neighbor???

Haha... well I would say have a friend of yours pull up at your house in a shirt that says INS, but if it's just 1 well a) he might get attacked and b) they know INS won't do anything so why bother... but it would be funny. On a more serious note, doesn't it suck that there a TONS of groups out there to protect minorities and illegals but no one there to protect you. You can't do anything seeing as he is on public property and he is a minor, unless you have a minor who can and is willing to beat him up haha. Anyway, It's a total disgrace that they come here FREE and ILLEGAL and can destroy our flag like that. Only thing you can really do is report it to the police, but it sounds as if the police are even scared of them. Maybe there is a neighborhood watch group or some thing that you can talk to - maybe they have meetings and advice as to how to deal with nasty people like that. I hope you get the situation settled. Someone mentioned the telling a reporter or someone from the paper. That's a good idea. Edit: A lot of neighborhood watches encompass a large area, so even if you live off the beaten path from them they can and will drive by your house. I live in the Ghetto... and my neighborhood watch people make sure to drive past my house daily, even though I live off the beaten path. It's something to look into. The only other advice and I hate to say this is move. I don't think you should have to give up your home as a legal citizen, but if they harass you it might be worth it. I can honestly say they are scum and need to go home!!!! Wow... You just really need to move. I am just not sure if your house would sell for what it's worth and the area... it's not a plus haha.

No idea who it is, but you need to be
really careful how you pursue this.
This particular piece of fabric and
stick tend to cause some to get
very excited.
If you didn't give permission for them
to leave this item on your yard, then
(depending on what the signage
is around there), they might be guilty
of ... uh ... littering?
In any case, if you want to find out
who, probably the east thing to do
is start asking your neighbors.
Really, I am VERY serious about
this: For your own health and welfare,
you need to make sure that let
people know you don't mind - but
you are curious.
Unless you want to be known as
a flag hater.
Its amazing how excited people can
get about this particular thing.

Hmmm, I think George Bush is out to get you. I bet he's parading around at night with a bundle of flags in his arms with this maniac look on his face. Then he sticks a flag in someones lawn and started laughing his head off. Then he skips to the next lawn and does it some more.

When I lived on Long Island, a real estate agency used to go around sticking American flags on everyone property with their business card. It's kind of a nice way to advertise.

Here in New Mexico, I know the Lions Club puts out flags on holidays but it's a fund-raiser. Usually businesses pay for them to come put the flags in front of their businesses or homeowners pay to have them put in front of their houses. A neighbor might be paying to get them put on your block.
