Most gun crime in the UK is carried out by black youths. What should be done?

as i work in a youth centre and as a fact there are more Black youths locked up than white,it shows a big problem, but prison life is so easy now its a joke, so easy that they don't mind coming back, so what should be done about gun crime the same as all other crime stop all these people that go on about how these youths are hard done by in prison, a simple thing is give them nothing unless they earn it, no TV unless they earn it, that sort of thing as it is they get everything and it don't matter if they behave or not, tougher times in prison, these days it pays to do crime

UInfortunately the whole time black urban artists are telling kids that if they're bklack society will mistreat them, young impressionable black kids will believe it and give up before they try, which means when they do integrate into society, they already feel defeated and don't make the effort, hence society DOES start to look down on them and deplore them, which in turn makes them think that what they'd heard all along is right and strengthens their resolve to find commune in other areas, generally other people in similar situations which gives rise to gang culture.

people need to understand that these black youth carry guns because they think it's cool. They watch too many American movies. They try to dress like them, talk like them and now kill like them.

Educate them, help them, get them out of this rut. Improve their lives such that they don't have to turn to crime for their day-to-day survival. I feel they are no less a part of society, albeit a very neglected part of it, and they should be accorded the same amount of care and help as would any other society member in achieving a good quality of life.

Tighter Immigration Controls, harder prison sentences when found guilty, deported to country of origin, even if second generation, when released from prison. Tighter controls on suspects if the suspected crime is gun or knife related, with deportation orders if found with offensive weapon. Until we as a country impose much tighter controls we will continue to have more and more problems with immigrants due to the increasing numbers
