I still hear people say this today. I had been hearing the word get er since the early 90's when someone was going to get into a fight they would say Lets Get Er. Larry the Cable Guy ruined it for the fist fighting generation.

I think that Larry The Cable Guy is a one-note performer, I think that all of his jokes are over-rated. I totally agree with you.

i don't think i ever heard it until larry the cable guy. i was down on my luck bartending in this small, blue collar town and my bar was packed with these red necks going to see the show, constantly yelling "ger er done" at the top of their drunk lungs. i think i sold $3K in liquor that night and made about $60 bucks from not being tipped by people who don't know any better. to this day when i hear those words i have a pavlovian response to want to fist fight so it's a little aprapros that is comes from someone who is going to get into a fist fight. yes it is over rated and over used.

Its over rated and annoying. I live in Oklahoma and hear it quite often.

Lol...It is really old. I liked it before he over used it. But that's what happens, not his fault.
