Hmm ... let's think of it this way. Compared to 60 years ago there is definately more technology in the world but as a society we work much longer work weaks. Now both members of the household work so you can think of it as almost doubling. But really what creates jobs is all of our desires.

I think it started out that way, but lately I'm not so sure. What with jobs continually being outsourced to other countries, it seems that American jobs suffer. Overall, I think the job count itself is probably pretty steady; it's the finding of jobs that I see as the real problem.
