The tallest woman in Asia is De-Fen Yao from China who stands at appx. 7'8 1/2" (2.35 m). She is not only the tallest woman in Asia, but also the tallest woman alive while the second tallest woman alive is Sandy Allen from Shelbyville, IN (USA) who stood at 7'7 1/4" (2.32 m) at her tallest.
Though the Guinness book of World Records claims that it's Sandy Allen of the USA but note that it stated "as of 1999" and that's 8 years ago. Probably the Guinness Book of Records needs to be updated.
