You can also try at your local College. They have classes in First aid , Basic first aid and advanced first aid without all of the medical information just the needed things. You will not learn drugs or administration techniques just how to treat basic injuries

I went to my first, first responder's course during college.
I'm taking another course 10 years later as a refresher from our local community college.
So I'd suggest trying one of your local colleges.
