I'd simply like to know which eye exercise program to buy. Only personal testimonies would do. Thank you.

My dad has been taking a certain kind of vitamin supplement specifically for the eyes, and his eyesight has improved quite a bit since he started taking them. I can't think of the name, but I'm sure if you explain it to your pharmacist, he can tell you what they are (you buy them off the shelf, not prescription). His eye doctor told him about them. It takes a bit of time to see improvement, about a month, I think. It might be worth a try. Oh, the name of it is Bausch & Lomb Preservision Eye Vitamins and Minerals suppliment.

I deleted my whole post, since all you wanted is personal testimony. Want my own personal testimony? You can find it at: http://www.iblindness.org/forum/index.php/topic,401.0.html

You'll read that I went from 20/100 'average' binocular eyesight (both eyes simulateously) to 20/40 after a month of using this method. I also have mental 'clear flashes' that enable me to see 20/13 (verified by Snellen chart) or better. After you've read my personal testimony, here are other useful links:

Information about Bates Method:

The Bates Method teaches you about the following:

1) healthy eye habits which are exactly the same used by people with perfect sight
2) relaxing the muscular and nerve system to benefit the vision system
3) creating mental imprints which drastically improve eyesight, similar to the idea of what many people would call "muscle memory"

It has changed my whole understanding of how the mind plays a role in vision, through my own personal experiences.

Hope this helps.

You are not clear..is the Rx in one eye +15 sphere with +/-1.5
cylinder (astigmatic correction)? That in itself is not significant...
it all depends on the Rx of the other eye...supposing, of course, that you have one. If the two eyes are within 3 units (diopters) of each other, they should be sufficiently in balance for comfortable vision....if there are no other problems. If the difference is larger, you have anisometropia and cannot be balanced with glasses. It has to do with the optics of lenses and differences in perceived image size which the brain cannot tolerate. This leads to amblyopia or "lazy eye". To a great extent this problem of unequal image size can be eliminated with carefully fitted contact lenses or surgery. Since refractive error is primarily a function of
eye size, shape and anatomy, no amount of exercise, homeopathics, incantations, diet or wishful thinking will change a thing. I suggest you put yourself in the hands of a competent Physician who has all avenues of treatment open to explore.
I know your problem well and can tell you that the odds are strongly in your favor if you follow my advice!!

Unless you have double vision and objects do not fuse in your visual field there is no kind of exercise that will help. Anyone offering such a thing only wants your money.
